Long Tailed Sylph tail feathers

A little video of me drawing some of the tail feathers on this Long Tailed Sylph hummingbird

Hummingbird Tail Feathers

l couldn’t show you the whole step on this piece as l had to obscure the piece with my hand to get the final details. But here is most of the process.

Dumpy Frog

This is a video of how l drew the Dumpy Frog’s belly. I l use Faber Castell Polychromos and Caran D’ache Luminance and Pablo’s and Holbeins in this piece. All l have done before the video starts is to draw white spots all over the belly using a medium pressure and a white Caran D’Ache Luminance pencil, which creates some resistance to the colors worked over the top. They will not remain white as l work so much color over them, and l do not want them to remain white. But they will always be lighter than the colors worked over them.

Maroon Bellied Parakeets

This is my second video attempt and this is some wing feathers. The camera stays still for this one!
l am going to be working hard to improve my videos here as l really want to put up some useful ones.

Fruit Dove part 1

The video below shows drawing some feathers on a Fruit Dove.

Fruit Dove part 2

Mother of Pearl Butterfly

This is a video of me drawing a new butterfly. I have started by covering the whole wing in a base coat of white using fairly heavy pressure so that the top layers will not come out too dark.
