Tree Swallow
Tree Swallow. Another from my British birds series.
Yet Another Pink Betta
Yet another pink Betta fish. Couldn’t remember resist this one’s swirling tail!
Red Cardinal
A Red Cardinal with a little artistic license on the colors of the wing feathers. I love birds on flight. It is a movement thing that l find very interesting.
Betta Fish
Another pink Betta fish!
Strawberry Finch on Angels’ Trumpets
I never knew there was a red polka dot bird until a few weeks ago! Of course l had to draw it! How could l not? I gave him some beautiful Angels’ Trumpets to sit on.
Long Tailed Sylph Hummingbird
A beautiful blue and green Long Tailed Sylph, in that feisty, fighting attitude unique to hummingbirds.
Snow Capped Hummingbird
This beautiful little hummingbird is one l drew a couple of years ago but put him on a boring stick. I decided that he was worthy of something more interesting. This time he got a rusty tap!
Dancing Ladybird
A new Ladybird drawing. Or Ladybug depending on where you are from. This little one caught my eye because he looked like he was dancing in the rain!
A new Hummingbird
My first new piece for nearly two years! It is good to be drawing again.
Sun Conures
Rumba and Rio two pretty little Sun Conures
Atlantic Royal Flycatcher
Another one to cross off my to do list. I have loved this cheeky little bird with his amazing crown for a long time.
Costa’s Hummingbird
Costa’s Hummingbird. This has turned into my favorite piece so far. I love these little birds. l use Faber Castell Polychromos and Caran D’ache Luminance and Pablo’s and Holbeins for all of my pieces. And here l used a few Schpirerrfarben purples too.
Bee Hummingbird
This is the Bee Hummingbird. The tiniest hummingbird of them all. If you have never looked these up, do! You will be amazed at just how small they are. Although the barbed wire this one is sitting on may give you an idea!
