None Animal Artwork
Although my first love will always be animals of every kind, l do like to draw other things occasionally. One reason is that l find change refreshing and motivating, the second is that l learn new things, many of which can be used in my animal art. I love variety. So l thought it would be nice to share some of this work with you. This page is currently under construction so there will be more work added as l find the time to do so. Keep checking back.
Broken Gem Heart
Broken Gem Heart. This turned out to be a real labour of love taking me two weeks to complete. A very, very slow piece! You can see the work in progress shots by clicking the link below. You can also see step by step how l worked the gems on my tips page. I used Faber Castell Polychromos, Caran D'Ache Pablos and Luminance and Prismacolor pencils and a little white Copic ink. I used Strathmore Bristol Smooth paper for this piece.
Golden Cherry worked with Faber Castell Polychromos and Caran D'Ache Luminance and Pablo pencils. This piece l wanted to draw for two reasons, l had never tried to render gold before, and it was my second attempt at water drops. I wished as soon as l began that l had only tried to attempt gold and skipped the water! This was surprisingly time consuming to do, but that is often true when l am learning something new.
