Yes it is true! Awwwww! Just awwww! I want him. It may be the weekend but l am drawing, this gorgeous little kitten. With his big, fat, squidgy cheeks, sad little mouth and humongous eyes l just want to pick him up and snuggle him.
l had a bit of an eye craving, l get withdrawal symptoms if l don't have some big detailed eyes to draw every so often! I just love eyes. And there was so much expression in this little kitten's eyes, l just wanted to capture it. Although l am not entirely certainly that he doesn't make me feel just a teeny bit sad.
My husband says to make this realistic the background should be a shredded leather sofa with the caption, 'it couldn't possibly have been me!'. I know that is probably true, but....awwwwww!
Anyway in this photo l have nearly completed the eyes, and l actually remembered to take photos as l went and have added a cat eye step by step guide to my tips page. I have added the link at the bottom of the page.
lt really is a quick post from me today as l need to get back in the art room and work on this little beauty. I need to. Really, l do! Not sure how drawing can be quite so addictive, perhaps it is just my obsessive personality, but it is a better addiction than a lot of other things. And before l go l keep meaning to say if there are any questions you want to ask, step by steps you would like to see etc, do contact me, l am really not very scary and will always help if l can with the little l know. In the meantime have a fantastically wonderful weekend whatever you are doing....l hope there is a little drawing time in there!
